About the Artist

Shane's latest CD, West Land, reflects his life on the American road. Partnering with producer Stewart Myers (Jason Mraz, Lifehouse), Shane gives a generous nod to the folk and rock of the 70s, playing most of the instruments himself. The result is an album that Shane calls, "the first record that truly sounds like me." He has also recorded many other full-length albums, EPs, and demos that have received worldwide radio airplay on stations such as XM/Sirius and Radio Gets Wild Worldwide.

This is a rare treat to see Shane in an intimate, concert setting!

What is a house concert?

For attendees

A wonderful way to enjoy great music in an intimate setting! We roll the living room furniture out and the folding chairs in!

Doors generally open one half hour before the concert begins.

Musicians play two sets with an intermission between.

Audience is seated, the room is quite, and performers and their music get all the attention.

Snacks and beverages are included in the concert fee.

For hosts

House concerts and other special events make it possible to keep our office running. Staff and volunteers work every day to ensure we can offer the highest possible quality of programs and arts experiences for our special clients. Our work, the work of bringing music and arts to people who are isolated from society, is conducted out of sight of the mainstream community. Our fundraising events put a public face on our organization, and allow the community an opportunity to provide much-needed support. TAO is a young organization. The work we are doing is unique, and often challenging. We rely on the community’s support and goodwill to continue creating happiness and healing through the arts in Tidewater homes, hospitals and other dependent care settings. House concert hosts are friends who generously open their homes to a music event that provides needed support.

If you are interested in hosting a concert in your home, to support our work, we would like to hear from you.  Get more information here.
