About the Artist

Anthony Rosano has been making a name for himself in Hampton Roads and beyond, earning accolades for his musicianship and soul. Live shows flow from straight ahead Delta blues through 60's Bay area jams into Crescent city second line funk. Constantly evolving, the Conqueroos push boundaries—writing, interpreting and involving guest musicians...a Conqueroos show is a true experience.

Special guests include local blues heroes Bobby Blackhat, Jackie Scott, Grant Austin Taylor and more.

A house concert is a music event at someone’s home that features live music in a listening-room format. Folks are seated and attentive to the performance taking place. It’s a wonderful opportunity to really hear an artist’s words and focus on his or her musicianship.

House concerts are for music-lovers who want to enjoy the live music experience without distraction, ambient noise, TV, blenders or other interruption.

Rick Mapp’s house concerts are actually a seated music event in his large garden. There is room to move, and even dance, out beyond the stage and seating. In case of inclement weather, the concert will move to Sunday, June 16 at 3 pm.

What is a house concert?

For attendees

A wonderful way to enjoy great music in an intimate setting! We roll the living room furniture out and the folding chairs in!

Doors generally open one half hour before the concert begins.

Musicians play two sets with an intermission between.

Audience is seated, the room is quite, and performers and their music get all the attention.

Snacks and beverages are included in the concert fee.

For hosts

House concerts and other special events make it possible to keep our office running. Staff and volunteers work every day to ensure we can offer the highest possible quality of programs and arts experiences for our special clients. Our work, the work of bringing music and arts to people who are isolated from society, is conducted out of sight of the mainstream community. Our fundraising events put a public face on our organization, and allow the community an opportunity to provide much-needed support. TAO is a young organization. The work we are doing is unique, and often challenging. We rely on the community’s support and goodwill to continue creating happiness and healing through the arts in Tidewater homes, hospitals and other dependent care settings. House concert hosts are friends who generously open their homes to a music event that provides needed support.

If you are interested in hosting a concert in your home, to support our work, we would like to hear from you.  Get more information here.
