Upon submission of a credit card order via the Internet or in person, Tidewater Arts Outreach (TAO) will seek an approval code from the customer's credit card issuer, and charge the account for the full order amount.
Online payments may be made with worry-free security via Authorize.net and the four major bank credit/debit cards below. All orders, regardless of origin or payment method, are payable in U.S. dollars.
Guarantee & Security: It's SAFE to Buy Online from TAO with your Credit Card.
Regarding any purchase with TAO, you pay nothing if fraudulent use is made of your credit card. To date, no TAO customer has reported fraudulent use of a credit card, or any unauthorized charges, because of an online purchase. TAO’s secure server software represents today's gold standard in secure e-commerce transactions. The information (including credit card number, expiration date and shipping/contact information) is encrypted so that it cannot be intercepted over the Internet. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your issuing bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 in fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable for any of this $50.00 amount, TAO will reimburse you for this liability, up to the maximum $50.00. This reimbursement will only be made if fraudulent use of your credit card occurred through no fault of your own because of purchases from TAO. In such event, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its specific reporting rules and procedures.
TAO protects cardholder identity from unauthorized access to personal information through a standard set of security protocols. Credit card number, expiration date, and security code information are destroyed upon completion of each transaction except for the last four digits of the credit card number kept for transaction log historical information. No copies (carbon, photocopy, or otherwise) of cardholder data are kept.
All offline (non-Internet) credit card transactions will be processed at TAO through Authorize.net. A receipt is printed, either from the website or generated electronically. The receipt contains the cardholder name, address, phone, email, type of card/last four digits on card, date of transaction and amount of purchase. This receipt is mailed or presented in person to the customer.
Privacy: Use of your credit card with TAO does not place you on any list that is for sale or rent to any third party.
